I'm Jealous - They're Headed to the Lake!

Hello There FishHer Friend!

So why am I jealous?

So who am I jealous of?

My hubby and Son - who both just took off for the lake.

Here's why I didn't go...

It was a boys trip - you know - "no girls allowed".

I would be MUCH more jealous if they were going fishing - but this time I didn't make a fuss...

They are going hunting.

They headed out to duck and goose hunt at 5 am this morning. It was sleeting when they left, and they were bundled up in camo from their heads to their boots.

I'm still in my PJ's - and warm and dry - so life is good.

Since they've been gone the sleet has turned to a beautiful light fluffy snow fall. What a great morning for a bird hunt. Top 10 bird hunting morning for sure! One of our Son's first outings with Dad - he nearly SPRUNG out of bed.

He's not old enough for a gun yet - but he sure does like to help scout and prove that he can lay extra still in the corn field like a big boy.

Won't he be suprised when he gets his first "Daisy" this year for Christmas...

Shhhhhh - don't tell - not a word!

Do you remember when you got your first BB gun? I do - think I must have shot at every frog in the neighborhood that first week!

Until next time - I'll be hoping for a warm spell - and thinking about taking up ice fishing - or maybe not.

Guess I'll be waiting patiently for the spring spawn - or our next nature adventure!
